What is an Exercise Physiologist?

Accredited Exercise Physiologists are university qualified allied health professionals equipped with the knowledge, skills and competencies to design, deliver and evaluate safe and effective exercise interventions for people with acute, sub-acute or chronic medical conditions, injuries or disabilities.

 

Do I need a referral?

No you don’t need a medical or specialist referral, anyone can refer for Exercise Physiology.

 

Can I claim a rebate from my private health insurance or Medicare?

Please contact your private health insurance provider to determine if your cover includes Exercise Physiology prior to your initial assessment.

You may be entitled to a GP management plan under The Chronic Disease Management (CDM) initiative. Eligible recipients of up to 5 sessions (per calendar year) that are covered by Medicare. Your GP will be able to guide you on this.

 

What are your fees?

Fees vary depending on the nature of the assessment and duration of treatment sessions. Please feel free to contact evinco@outlook.com.au to request further information regarding fee structure.
